Hey guys!

I just wanted to let you know that the discussion pages are up and running. I haven’t added any questions yet because I just got my copy yesterday and haven’t had the chance to read much of it yet. But please feel free to add your own questions! I hope to have more questions up in the next week but I have another book to read for review so please bear with me.

Don’t forget to sign up to win a signed poster of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs! They’re really cool looking. There’s the book cover and then some of the pictures on the sides/bottom. There’s only 9 days left to sign up for the giveaway!

Hello fellow readers!

The first two pages for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children discussion are up. They are for chapters 1-4 and 5-8. I hope you all are enjoying the book as much as I am! Don’t forget to stop by and join in on the discussion while you read. I’m off to, hopefully, finish the book tonight so look out for the rest of the questions either tonight or tomorrow.

Happy Reading!

P.S. – Hecate is going to be on TV sometime in the next week (or so). Hopefully she’ll manage to put in a shameless plug on our book club! 😀

Hey everyone!

Three Nerds and a Book Club has teamed up with fellow awesome book club Bookbenders in a Secret Santa Gift Exchange! Of course it wouldn’t be ridiculously expensive (we are recommending a $5 limit), and we’d be okay with home made gifts. And since this is basically a book blog, we recommend book/fandom related gifts. We just wanted to see if it was a fun thing that could bring us together as a community.

I’ve started the gift exchange page, and it can be found here. Don’t forget, the deadline to sign up is December 12, 2012.

While I’m here, just a friendly reminder to discuss The Handmaid’s Tale before getting too involved in The Hobbit.

Happy Readings!

As you can see, we’ve got a special new banner! Hope all of you like it! It was specially designed for the Three Nerds by a very good friend of mine. She’s an amazing artist!

Also, friendly reminder! Don’t forget to discuss Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale before moving onto The Hobbit. Although I will not be participating this month, I have a very special friend who will be stopping by every now and then. She’s a LOTR fan and will have a few fun facts for you throughout the month.

Happy Readings!!

ImageHey, Nerds!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving – at least all of us in the States. If you’re not from the US, I hope you had a wonderful day anyway! Today’s “Getting to Know You” question is:

How was your Thanksgiving? What was your favorite thing about the day? Favorite food? And for those of us who do not celebrate Thanksgiving, how was your day? Did you do anything fun? What are your family get – togethers like?

On a sidenote: I have a couple of friendly reminders for you!

  • You have 8 more days until you’re supposed to finish The Handmaid’s Tale. If you haven’t done so yet, I seriously suggest you head on over to the discussions page. Like Botato said earlier on, the more you discuss, the more the new year will be beneficial to you. HUGE FORESHADOWING *WINKWINKHINTHINT*
  • You have until Sunday, November 25th to send in your book suggestions for the month of December.
  • Don’t forget to sign up for this year’s secret santa gift exchange! You never know, you might get a nerd this year!

Although we’ve got a bit to go to finish The Handmaid’s Tale, we’d like to hear your thoughts! All the discussion questions are up and we’d like to hear from you! There’s no hurry, but like Botato said last month, your comments will come in handy during the New Year. So come on, put your thinking hats on and discuss!
